The Alps are one of the most beautiful places in the world. Retreat to the small town of Garmsich, Germany where you will spend your evenings in luxury accommodations, have access to the spa and amenities during the day, and experience the beauty of the alps on day trips.
Our retreat location is located right in the heart of town, so you will be close by to restaurants and shops. We’ll also venture on a few day trips to see castles and the surrounding areas.
This is an intimate retreat with only eight guests in luxury accommodations, so reserve your room soon!

Rooms
All rooms have AC, linens, wifi, hair dryer, safe, TV, and bathrobes. Everyone will have full access to the spa including an indoor and an outdoor pool, steam bath, steam room, hamam, and whirlpool.

Food
A breakfast buffet will be provided in the mornings.
The retreat center provides cakes and tea around noon. Lunch will be on your own.
Dinner will be at local restaurants in Garmisch so you will have the opportunity to taste local dishes. Two nights you will have the chance to venture out on your own for dinner.
Adventure
You will have the opportunity to visit three beautiful castles including Neuschwanstein, Hohenschwangau, and Linderhoff.
On our day trip to Linderhoff, we will also stop in charming Hohenschwangau for lunch and times for shopping and walking around.
A day trip to Lake Eibsee where you will be able to rent a kayak/SUP, take a hike in the Alps, or participate in the add-on tour to take the cable car to the top of Zugspitze mountain.
Yoga Classes
Each morning will offer a 60-minute vigorous vinyasa style yoga class on the sea view yoga deck. Evenings will slow things down with yin, restorative, and gentle classes. Mats, blocks, and straps are provided, but you may choose to bring your own yoga supplies.
Evening yoga classes will be a slower pace designed to wind things down for the evening and get your ready for bed.
Two yoga workshops will also be offered.
Register
To register, please complete the registration form and submit your $1,000 deposit. A $1,000 installment will be due April 5, 2024, and the remaining balance due July 19, 2024. Save $100 per person ($200) or $100 off single rate if you pay in full! Register by February 29, 2024 and save $50 per person ($100) off the double and $50 off single rate.
Each participant must complete the registration form and submit a deposit, even if you are travelling together.

Zugspitze - Add Ons
Enjoy panoramic views of the Bavarian Alps from the top of Germany’s tallest mountain, Zuspitze! Home to Germany’s last glacier, Zugspitze offers visitors a unique view of the Apls.
Ride a cable from the base to the top where you can enjoy breathtaking views and a snack at one of three restaurants; Panorama 2962, Restaurant Sonnalpin and Gletscher 2600.

Angelina Fox
Angelina is a ERYT500, YACEP travelling yoga teacher who has been teaching yoga since 2010. Leading yoga retreats across the globe is her passion and you’ll find her classes to be energizing and full of fun.
Angelina is your lead guide and coordinator for this trip, so don’t hesitate to email her with questions or help coordinating your travels.
What's Not Included
Airfare, car rental, transportation other than designated as part of the trip (pick-up and drop-off at Garmisch train station at designated date and time, and transportation to planned excursions is included), taxes, gratuities, travel insurance, two dinners, daily lunch, alcoholic beverages, water/other activities in town, rentals at the hotel, additional excursions, massages and spa services.
Cancellation/Refunds: Deposits are non-refundable. Payment installments are non-refundable after being paid unless your spot can be filled by another person, and any refund will be less a $140 transaction fee. No refunds are guaranteed. If retreat is canceled due to low enrollment, full refunds will be made. Read the full terms for the trip.

You have choices of where to fly into. You are responsible for getting yourself to Garmisch train station at the determined time on August 25, 2024.

No flights or transportation outside of planned activities and the pick up and drop off at the Garmisch train station are included with registration.
Airport transfers are not included with registration. Transportation to and from Garmisch train station to and from the retreat location are included.
More information on the meeting location and time will be included closer to the date for participants to arrange their own flights and travel plans.
US citizens are not required to get a Visa to visit Germany prior to arrival. You will be given a Visa upon arrival valid for 90 days. You must make sure that your passport does not expire within six months of your arrival and departure dates. Non-US citizens should check with their embassy on requirements.
If you plan to stop over or stay in another country travelling to or from the retreat, you should check entry and visa requirements for any stop overs you will have.
It is your responsibility to stay up to date on all travel requirements for the trip. US citizens can find travel information here.
All travelers should stay up to date on COVID and other travel restrictions from their destination and any connecting locations.

We recommend using Rail Ninja or Rail Europe to book your train rides to Garmisch-Partenkirchen from Munich, Germany or Innsbruck, Austria. There is a high speed train and a slow train and all over the country.
Train tickets are about $60 round trip from Munich Hbf to Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance. A good place to start is calling your homeowner or rental insurance company. World Nomads is a reputable company you may wish to get a quote from. We do not specifically endorse any travel insurance plans. It is solely up to you to find and purchase travel insurance.
Unfortunately, we won’t be able to wait for you if you miss the group meet up to the retreat center. You will need to arrange your own transfer via taxi or shared shuttle. The train station is about a 5 minutes car ride from the retreat location.
You may also decide to rent a car for your time there.
Check in is at 4pm August 25. If you are meeting us at the train station, you will arrive with the group.
Check out is 10am August 31 and we will travel to the Garmisch train station together.
Gratuities for drivers, staff, massages, and any other services are not included in your registration. Please plan to have some Euros for tips.
There are many small German towns close to Garmisch. We will visit some on our excursions.
Breakfast every day of the retreat is included.
Six evening meals are included, and two evening meals are on your own.
Lunch every day will be on your own.
Our retreat location offers cakes and tea/coffee in the afternoons.
Breakfast will be buffet.
Dinner will be traditional German fare. We will be patronizing local restaurants for our evening meals.
Because we will be eating at local restaurants, some dietary restrictions may not be able to be accommodated.
Yes, the center has Wifi available.
All rooms have air conditioning.
Yes, you can book a massage before we arrive (details available closer to trip date), or after arrival.
The spa also offers many other services including a nail salon, facials, and scrubs.
We will be in a quaint German town and you will have access to all the local activities such as renting a bike to ride around town, visit near by castles, explore churches, and pick up some gifts at local shops.
We will have excursions to some locations as part of the retreat.
Yoga classes will be each morning before breakfast in a vigorous vinyasa style. Classes will offer many variations and modifications to offer an “all-levels” class.
There will also be a yoga workshop, details to come.
The retreat center has mats, blocks, and straps. Please bring any additional props you may wish to use.
We recommend bringing a mat towel or travel mat to cover the provided mats, but this is not required.
There is not laundry service provided, but arrangements can be made if needed.
Your deposit is non-refundable.
Any additional monies paid are non-refundable after being paid unless your spot can be filled with another participant. If your spot is able to be filled, any refunds will be less the $1,000 deposit and a $140 processing fee.
If the retreat is canceled due to low attendance, full refunds will be made.
Unfortunately we aren’t able to offer shared rooms with two beds.
If you book a single, all participants will be encouraged to book similar or same flights so everyone will be able to travel together.
Because it is located in an old town in Germany, the retreat center has many staircases, and the local area must be traversed over cobblestone.
Transportation to all activities will not be able to offer any wheelchair services.
Additionally, other activities may be difficult to navigate if you are uncomfortable climbing stairs or walking on dirt trails.
We will have a maximum of 8 guests on this holiday, so make sure to book your spot early!
Yes! You will receive between 10 and 14 Yoga Alliance CEUs depending on how many of the yoga classes and activities you attend.
