Four Aims Flow Yoga Series
Mondays, February 22 – March 15, 2021
Time: 11:30am – 12:30pm
Many of us come to yoga asking the questions who am I, why am I here? We move our body’s on our mats, we meditate, we do breathing practices, and introspection to begin to discover the answers to these questions which inevitably lead to more questions. These questions are not unique to us as an individual, they have been asked since the beginning of humankind. We can see this in many of the classical texts such as the Mahabharata and the story of the Bhagavad Gita, the Ramayana, and in the Yoga Sutras. Yoga philosophy offers us the four purushaarthas, the four aims of life, as ways for us to focus our efforts in answering these questions to work toward living a life we love with satisfaction and purpose.
Week1: Dharma – Why am I here?
Week 2: Artha – What do I need?
Week 3: Kama – What do I want?
Week 4: Moksha – Who am I?
