We do not specifically endorse any travel insurance plans. It is solely up to you to find and purchase travel insurance.

Unfortunately, we won’t be able to wait for you if you miss the group meet up in Bordeaux or Bergerac. You will need to arrange your own transfer to the chateau.

The chateau is approximately 1 hour east of Bordeaux, and 20 min north of Bergerac, so you may arrange a taxi, car service, or rent a car.

Check in is at 4pm on October 5, 2025. If you are meeting us for the group transit, you will arrive with the group.

Check out is 11am October 11, and we will travel back to Bordeaux or Bergerac together.

Gratuities for drivers, villa staff, massages, and any other services are not included in your registration. Please plan to have some small Euros to offer to staff.

There are many small villages near the Chateau. The largest city is Bergerac, approximately 20 minutes south of the chateau.

The villa is approximately 1 hour east of Bordeuax.

All meals are included from Sunday dinner through Saturday breakfast with the exception of one meal on your own in town where you will have access to local restaurants and cafes.

Brunch will be European continental with cold cuts, fruit, cereal, and pastries along with juice, coffee, and tea. Some mornings will have eggs or oatmeal.

Dinner will vary depending on where we are eating, or if a chef has been hired.

The food on this trip will not be vegetarian and will follow more traditional style of French preparation with meats, veggies, etc.

Our trip is designed to appreciate the French culture of the Dordogne Valley and will sometimes contain dairy, fish, chicken, gluten, or other allergens. We would love to accommodate everyone’s needs, unfortunately, due to patronizing local eateries and hiring a private chef, we won’t be able to accommodate restrictive diets such as vegan, gluten-free, etc. We will do our best to accommodate allergies as best as possible.

Yes, the chateau has Wifi available.

The chateau has A/C in all the rooms.

You can expect warm day time temperatures in the high 60s and 70s (f) during the day, and in the low 40’s at night.

It is a good idea to pack with layers in mind so you can be chill during the day, and cozy in the evenings.

We are currently looking into hiring a masseuse. Please indicate in your registration form if this is a service you would be interested in.

The Dordogne region offers lots of activities including Standup Paddleboarding, kayaking, river cruises, and walks through the vineyards and small towns.

We will have one day as a group in Bergerac where you can participate in these activities, although they are not included in your registration.

We will have a boat tour of the Dordogne river while visiting Bergerac.

Yoga classes will be each morning before breakfast in a vigorous vinyasa style. Classes will offer many variations and modifications to offer an “all-levels” class.

We recommend bringing a mat towel or travel mat as there are no yoga supplies at the chateau. You may also consider bringing your own supplies such as blocks or other items.

There is not laundry service provided, but arrangements can be made if needed.

Your deposit is non-refundable.

Any additional monies paid are non-refundable after being paid unless your spot can be filled with another participant. If your spot is able to be filled, any refunds will be less the $1,000 deposit and a $140 processing fee.

If the retreat is canceled due to low attendance, full refunds will be made.

If you are travelling by yourself and would like to sign up for a double, you may sign up to be on the waitlist to see if another person to share a room with registers. You do not need to pay the deposit to be put on the waitlist, please indicate on the form that this is the option you are looking for. You will know no later than June 1, 2025 if a roommate has been able to be located or not. At the time a roommate has been found, both people sharing the room must pay their $1,000 deposit and the remaining payments installments. There is no guarantee we will be able to find a roommate, and bookings as singles and doubles/pairs will have priority.

If you are travelling solo and want to book a shared room, you will be paired with someone of the same sex. This is why we ask for this information on the registration form.

Because it is a 18th Century castle, the chateau has been modified over the years and has many stairs, cobblestones, and other things to make it tricky to get around.

Several bedrooms are located on the first floor of the chateau, so please consider this when booking and read the room descriptions.

Additionally, the vineyards and other activities may be difficult to navigate if you are uncomfortable climbing stairs or walking on cobblestones.

We will have a maximum of 8 guests on this holiday, so make sure to book your spot early!

Our hope is to keep the group small enough to fully enjoy all experiences in a part of the world where cars, kitchens, houses are small, but hearts are big.

Yes! Because Angelina is a YACEP through Yoga Alliance, you will receive between 5 and 10 CEUs depending on how many of the yoga classes and activities you attend.
